This project would encourage and assist children to create a business that would benefit their own community. Giving back is mostly evident when individuals turn successful in their career; however, this program would not only encourage and produce young entrepreneurs, but also push them to create better opportunities for his/her community before becoming successful. This program will not only allow members of the community to benefit from the provided services, but also enjoy employment with the company. Mission: To encourage and empower youth of various communities to start their own business where they are and as they are – in the backyard of their community as a student and not a professional – through leadership, development and financial support.
My idea will be implemented by partnering up with the Philadelphia School District and various other organizations to recruit middle and high school students who are interested in business, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and mentorship. Different organizations would assist in an aspect that they were created for; for example, hosting workshops.
